game tactics

Here some tactical instructions on the game:

Rule 1: the extra-questions you better answer right away – they have a very short deadline. Game delays will be punished immediately here! And watch out for future extra-questions – I'll post 1 or 2 of them weekly until June 27.

Rule 2: check out each fan-portrait carefully and answer the attached questions. The fan-questions have to be answered latest by June 29, 17.00pm (CET), either in single comments or by one complete post. Until end of EURO 2008 I will put about 10 more fan-portraits online, so stay tuned.

Rule 3: how to get into the game? Either by subscribing with email (all new posts coming directly into your mailbox) or by marking a RSS-Feed. Or simply by showing up daily to the training session here. Wrte your answers through click on "post a comment".

Game analysis:

Until now we had 3 fan-portraits – check out carefully the questions coming with them!

- Shaun, USA (click here!)
- Cecile and Vanessa, France (click here!)
- an unidentified fan at the Hamburg public-viewing (click here!)

The current extra-questions you find here (click)
.

What to win? My photo-book “Roll Over, Lenin!” and 3 signed photographs from my photo-archive.

Good luck!

"The World Cup is every four years, so it's going to be a perennial problem." (Gary Lineker)

Here's another fan from the World Cup 2006, photographed on the public viewing area Heiligengeistfeld in Hamburg: before (left) and after the game. The outcome of the match should be quite clear, shouldn’t it? However, our exercises are becoming a bit harder now! You should answer me:

A: which team does the young lady support (hint: the flag!)?
B: against which Arab country did her team play in this game (group phase World Cup 2006)
C: what was the exact result?

Answer right now or later – but do not forget to send all answers in by June 29, 8pm (CET), to be eligible for the lottery.

Good luck!

"Football is much harder if you don't have the ball." (Sven-Goran Eriksson)

To beef up our little quiz, I’ll post 1 or 2 extra-questions per week, from now until the final day of EURO 2008. Please note the deadlines for them!

Here we go with today’s extra-questions (to be answered until 5pm, CET on June 7, 2008):

1. which team will win the EURO 2008?
2. how will the game Portugal vs. Turkey end (exact result)?

Besides, do not forget to check out my regular fan-portrait-questions (currently: fan portrait 1, fan portrait 2, fan portrait 3). More to come weekly until June 27. Collect one point for each correct answer and win a photo-book (1. price) or photo-print (2. to 4 price). These fan-questions can be answered one-by-one or en block in a single comment. Write answers to fan-questions now or later – but latest until June 29, 2008, 5pm (CET).

Good luck!

how did the US-Boys play?

Thanks, Mike.

But you are wrong - the US-Boys didn't loose that game. Actually, they scored quite a respectable result, especially considering their opponent of that game. Shaun could look a bit more optimistic. Please try again! Hint: check out the day of the week I provided.

And: what's about our 2 French fans - which result made them looking rather sad??

Hi Martin,

nice pics! Guess it's quite clear here - the US-Boys lost. Or didn't they?! :) BTW, can we win anything here? :)
